Rejuvenate, Issue #002 -- Refresh Your Skin With A Glycolic Peel April 01, 2007 |
| Hello, Welcome to the second issue of Rejuvenate The Anti Aging Ezine. Read in this issue:
Refresh Your Skin With The Anti Aging Glycolic PeelThe Easter holidays are just around the corner. This is a great time to refresh the skin on your face with a deep exfoliating treatment like a glycolic peel. Glycolic Acid that is used in a Glycolic Peel is part of the Alpha-Hydroxy-Acid (AHA) family. Glycolic Acid is a natural acid and is derived from sugar cane, pineapple or unripe grapes. Glycolic Acid penetrated excellent into the skin removing it's upper layers and revealing new skin. A glycolic peel stimulates the production of collagen making it an excellent anti aging treatment. Lines, wrinkles and hyper pigmentation are diminished, the skin’s texture and appearance are improved. The Glycolic Peel is one of the gentler chemical peels and perfect for a home care treatment. Compared to other stronger chemical peels you won’t get the “raw” look afterwards more like a mild sunburn. There are several home chemical peels available that are safe and effective and are a great choice for refreshing the skin. Home kits are usually less strength but should have a concentration from at least 20% or they won't do much. Follow the instructions. Usually the solution is applied to the face and taken off after a few minutes. You will feel a tingling sensation. Repeat the treatment if necessary within a few weeks. Contra-Indications: Do not use while pregnant or breast feeding. Not suitable for skin’s suffering from rosacea. Always read the label and follow the instructions carefully. Any questions? With age and the damage to our cells over a lifetime the body can’t hold onto water as much as it used to. It dehydrates. The first signs of dehydration shows at the skin. Skin researchers believe that if we can stop the water loss in our cells, the skin would stay firm and supple for longer.
