Stay away from Chemicals
Chemicals attacking our cells and cause premature aging. Our bodies defence mechanism can't cope with the masses of chemicals it has to deal with every day. The result is premature aging and ill health.

Chemicals are unfortunately everywhere. In our food, in our moisturiser, shampoos, shower gels, washing detergents, cleaners, toothpaste and so on.
The list is endless. This doesn't even count the harmful UV rays we're exposed to, the polluted water we drink and the polluted air with breath in.
Unless we move into the deepest Himalayas, we can't avoid exposure to chemicals. That's just the modern way of life we live in. However we can reduce the amount of chemicals by choosing chemical free products.
Here a few anti aging tips on going chemical free:
- Buy organic food when possible. I know this is not often easy, especially when you have to shop for a whole family. Unfortunately organic products are most of the time more expensive. With a little research you may find a local organic grower where you can get it a bit cheaper. Or you can get together with a few other families and buy in bulk from an organic wholesaler.
- Drink only purified water
- Grow your own herbs. All you need is a few pots and seeds. You can even grow them on your kitchen bench. Fresh herbs are great for cooking and you get your daily anti aging antioxidants chemical free!
- Chemical free cosmetic products. Besides food, the amount of chemicals in cosmetics that we get in contact with is huge. This includes, any kind of skin cleanser, moisturiser, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, bath additives, toothpaste and make-up. Parabens for example can also interfere with your hormone household. There are some really good natural anti aging products on the market today.
- Chemical free hair-color. O.k. I'm not into Henna myself, although its a great product and of course chemical free. There are many other natural and chemical free products on the market today. You'll find them in organic shops, health stores or at a local hairdresser who is using chemical free colors.
- Buy Chemical free dishwash detergents, washing detergents and cleaning products.
- Avoid smoking or 2nd hand smoking. If you haven't yet, try to quit smoking. A burning cigarette releases over 4000 different chemical compounds!!!

Coffee I hear you saying. Coffee has beneficial antioxidants!?
Coffee has been in the news lately as being the Nr. 1 source of Antioxidants in a study in the US. Pretty sad, I would say. That just shows how bad the diet of most people is.
Well I have to admit, I love coffee too, but unfortunately the negatives outweighs the positives.
Coffee raises blood sugar levels which, after it drops rapidly makes you hungry and can lead to overweight. With insulin levels jumping up and down it can effect your whole hormone household and that in turn can lead to all sorts of health problems.
In the skin, coffee triggers inflammation which shows up on your face as dark circles, puffiness, fine lines, poor colour and highly reactive skin (sensitive). The way your insulin behaves is how rapidly or slowly your skin will age.
Green Tee however is one of the best drinks you can have for anti aging.
Try an Coffee alternative like Carro, or other Coffee alternatives based on Barley. If you can't stay away from coffee, reduce your intake to 1 cup a day.

Cut down on Sugar
Sugar has a similar effect on your blood sugar and insulin than coffee when eaten in more than moderate amounts. Remember, that carbohydrates and specially starchy foods turn also into sugar in the body!
When insulin levels rise, your cortisol levels are likely to rise as well. A pancreas that has to keep pumping insulin to deal with all the sugar may end up in over secreting insulin which can lead to insulin resistance. Insulin resistance causes low blood sugar levels which you can feel with sugar cravings. Insulin resistance is the main cause of obesity.
If you're eating lots of sugar your adrenal glands get deprived of vital Vitamins.
It all becomes a vicious circle
For the skin too much sugar causes inflammation just like coffee.

This is one of the most important anti aging tips. Constant stress can seriously affect your health and causes premature aging.
