Do I need to spend this much money for results?

by Becky

I am 57 years old and my face was sagging, so I have had laser treatments on my face and the doctor prescribed products from Prescribed Solutions. I am pleased with the products, but they are expensive. Are there less expensive products that give the same results?

What is the best makeup to use? Powder or liquid for my age? Is Bare Minerals the way to go or are all of the products by companies the same?

Becky

Hi Becky,
it is great to hear that you had good results with the laser treatment.

The products you are using, Prescribed Solutions, are highly effective as they treat individual skin concerns by using the right ingredients in a concentrated form. Your physician would have prescribed the right product for you. That's why you get great results.

Over the counter products or supermarket brands don't do such a good job with that because they have often too many ingredients in one pot and none of them do much good. (....treat the 7 signs of aging.....)

As for the matter of the expense. I believe that there is always a less expensive product on the market. I would recommend to look at the ingredient list on your products (or ask your physician) to find out which is the most active ingredient in it. Once you know that you can search for cheaper product.

For example. My skin responded really well to the Collin 2000 C cream. However the cream was $130 per 30 ml in a pot. So I now get the Vitamin Concentrate from Avon for $25 and use a more basic moisturizer on top. This way my skin gets a more concentrated Vitamin C than in the cream plus it works out much more economical.

You can search by ingredient or treatment type, brands or skin condition. The SkinStore.com

About your makeup question.
I would recommend to use a liquid foundation. Apply with a sponge to apply evenly over the skin.

Unfortunately with age, many women suffer from an increase in fine hairs on their face. The powder will lift and show any fine hairs even more. Powder can also sit in lines and wrinkles and make them more visible.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.
I hope I could help with your concerns.

All the best.

Daniela
