Does Red Light Therapy work for wrinkles?

I am 41 and I sleep on my side. I wake up with these horrible wrinkles on my face, around my eyes and on my chest. I have tried a lot of stuff and nothing seems to help. I was wondering if the anti-aging red light therapy would help me with actual noticeable difference in my skin or would you recommend something else. How long does it take to see a difference when using the red light therapy? I know the ideal thing would be to stop sleeping on my side, but that is easier said than done. Also any creams that you recommend? I have very sensitive skin. Thanks for any help. Lora

Hi Lora,
Red light therapy does work by stimulating the cell renewal and repair in your skin, naturally and very effective. It takes approximately 2 to 3 weeks until you can see the difference in the skin. Wrinkles will appear less visible and your skin will have a more even appearance.

The Red Light Therapy Treatment should be used every day for 10 minutes on the face for the first week. Then you can cut down to 3 times, or every second day until you reach the desired result. After that use for maintenance once to twice a week.

There are many treatments and products that can help to reduce wrinkles. Some are performed at professional clinics and can be costly.
I do recommend red light therapy because it works simply on the science of light waves. It is a non invasive treatment without the use of chemicals, such as peels that leave you with redness and recovery time. Red light therapy is simple to use and not expensive. It also enhances the effectiveness of any skin care used.

However, wrinkles will come back if you continue to sleep on your side. I understand that it is hard, being a side-sleeper myself, to change habits. I recommend to use a satin pillow case and a special beauty pillow like the Splintek SleepRight Side Sleeping Pillow (24x12x4) that will not scrunch up your face while you sleep.

For sensitive skin I recommend to use any products that are free of chemicals. Parabens for a example, a popular chemical in many skin care and that is used as preservative, can trigger sensitivity. Products should be also fragrant free. Look out for an organic skin care for sensitive skin like Miessence.

Hope this helps. Sorry about the late reply.

All the best.

Daniela
