skin pigmentation on upper lip

Since I had my son,I have a problem with the pigmentation on my upper lip. Looks like I have a mustache. It gets worse in the sun, I have tried different sunblocks but still notice it, and hate it. Any possible solutions or products I can use to cover it up? Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, pigmentation on the upper lip is common when pregnant. It is also called "the mask of pregnancy". The increased amount of hormones is to blame for the appearance of pigmentation marks during pregnancy. Even though hormone levels go back to normal after pregnancy, the pigmentation often stays. It is really similar to agespots and an age spot treatment can help.
I would recommend an intensive treatment course with a brightening product. If you are still breast-feeding I would stay away from a product containing "Hydroquione" as well as other chemical ingredients as their safety has been questioned lately.
Stick to natural brighteners such as Kojic Acid, Plant Brighteners such as Bilberry extract, Licorice extract, Vitamin C or Probiotic Skin brighteners.
Choose products high in concentration such as Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum
as they are more effective. Use for several weeks until the pigmentation has faded . Than choose a milder concentrated product for long term use.
Bare in mind that the sun due to its ultra-violet light can worsen pigmentation. You should avoid the sun and wear sun block a all times.
All the best.
